मायावादनिराशराशिशरणं सत्कारणाधीश्वरम्।
सद्गुण्याद्यखिलप्रभावविभवं वेदैकवेद्यं विभुम्।
ब्रह्मानन्द कदम्बपुष्पलसितं श्रीशङ्कराचार्यकम्।
याचेऽहं सततं शरण्यममलं मुक्त्यैककल्पद्रुमम्॥

"maayaavaadaniraasharaashisharaNaM satkaaraNaadhiishvaram .
sadguNyaadyakhilaprabhaavavibhavaM vedaikavedyaM vibhum .
brahmaananda kadambapushhpalasitaM shriishaN^karaachaaryakam .
yaache.ahaM satataM sharaNyamamalaM muktyaikakalpadrumam .."

'I always take refuge in Brahmananda, in Shri Shankaracharya
who is shining like Kadamba flowers,
who through the doctrine of Maya (Vedanta) gives shelter to the multitude of hopeless people,
who is the true being, the cause of creation, the Supreme Lord,
whose greatness consists in all powers beginning with the quality of goodness,
who is to be known through Veda only, who is all-pervading,
who is spotless and pure and the one wish-fulfilling tree for gaining liberation.'

त्वदीयं वस्तु गोविन्द  तुभ्यमेव समर्पये।

आपकी कृपा - कोर से इससे प्रादूर्भूत अरुणलालिमा की सुमनोहर रक्तकुंकुम रश्मियों से देदीप्यमान पथ की दिव्य - प्रभा हमारे साधन - विहीन  भक्तिहीन  अग़्यान - गाढ़ान्ध - तमोपहित हृदयों को आलोकित कर चिरन्तन ज्योति प्रदान करेगी।

Back in 1947 a Hindi book was published called श्रीशंकराचार्य-वाक्सुधा 'Shri Shankaracharya Vaksudha', credited to Shri 108 Dandi Swami Adwaitanand Saraswati.

The book was compiled and edited by one Mahesh Prasad Ji (the name by which Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was known prior to his becoming a brahmachari). It is a slim volume of some 135 odd pages giving a profile of the life and teachings of Shankaracharya Swami Brahmanand Saraswati, later better known as Guru Dev.

It seems it was this publication that formed the basis of the later Hindi biography entitled श्री ज्योतिष्पीठोद्धारक 'Shri Jyotishpeethoddharaka', published in 1965. It is said that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi claimed the work as his own, allegedly telling an assistant, Australian TM teacher Edna Linnell, ‘We shall see what they have done with it.’

Seemingly 'Shri Shankaracharya Vaksudha' is the work to which Maharishi was referring to in 1968 when he said ‘I have written long ago, maybe twenty or thirty years ago, I wrote a book, a small cover, about two hundred pages, and that was in Hindi, account of Guru Dev. But in that description, hear what I said! Not the instances were cited, but the inferences drawn from the instances. Not the instances make history!’.
